Youth Returns this Friday!

Term 1, 2012 is almost here, and youth is starting back up again from Feb. 3 (after a bit more than eight weeks of hiatus… we know you miss us a lot).

Our first night for ’12 is our Gross Olympics night, featuring crazy, fun and messy games such as Egg Toss, Spray Down and more.

Bring yourself, your friends and some old clothes. At the Shannon Park Hall from 7:00-9:00PM as always.

Programs are also out now, head on over to the Forms & Program Flyers page to grab ‘em.

‘Word of Faith’ movement video out now…

Hope everyone’s having a mad Christmas holiday (and looks forward to youth next year!)

While you’re waiting, however, check out the latest video to roll off the line. This was our February 25, 2011 J-Zone, with the topic being the Word of Faith/Prosperity gospel movement. If you have at least forty-five minutes to spare, it is worth checking out.

Until then, see ya’ll next year.

XBox/LAN Night this Friday!

Guys, the moment you’ve all been waiting for is THIS FRIDAY (2/12), 7:00PM at the Shannon Park hall. Bring along your TV set, XBox/360, controllers, games (particularly any of the Halo, Call of Duty or Battlefield series), LAN cables, power boards and extension leads.

Also, expanding on what we did last year, if you have a PC/laptop (one that is YOURS, not the family PC) you can bring along that as well. You don’t need to have a high-powered PC either, as most of the games we’re doing are older ones that don’t have high system requirements. If you have a LAN hub/switch, bring that as well so that we can have more machines hooked up.

XBox/LAN Night runs from 7:00PM December 2 to 8:30AM December 3. Breakfast will be provided along with various snacks and drinks during the night.

Girls are also welcome to come along, but only from 7:00 – 9:00PM. After 9:00PM, it is a BLOKES ONLY zone.

Bring along your friends as well!

Girls sleepover tonight! (and IMPORTANT for year 12 guys)

Term 4 (and 2011) is almost over, with only a couple more Fridays to go!

Tonight (25/11) is the night for you gals to par-tay! If you are a girl in yrs. 7 – 12, meet up at the Shannon Park Hall at 7:00PM and get ready for a night in with the gals! Pickup Saturday morning (around 8:00 – 8:30AM)

Unfortunately for you yr. 12 guys, wet weather has put a stop to what we were going to do tonight out at the Church block on Meringandan Rd. However, next week is the Halo/LAN night. Girls are welcome from 7:00 – 9:00PM ONLY, after that it will be a 100% MAN dominated zone.

Stuff to bring to Halo/LAN night will be announced next week.

Serving Soldiers this Saturday…

Just a reminder to y’all: youth will NOT be on tonight (18/11).

We are running a Serving Soldiers mission this Saturday at Brownsholme Retirement Village in Highfields from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. So come along and let’s do something awesome for our community!

If you don’t know how to get there, Brownsholme is located a few hundred metres north-east of Highfields Village Shopping Centre. It is on the left, as you head down Highfields Rd. towards Meringandan Rd.

Term 4 2011 @ Revolve

attention

Term 4 2011 is almost upon us (2011 has come and gone really quickly!).

The first Friday night for this term (14 Oct) involves Pizza… LOTS of pizza… and no, we are NOT going to be ordering it! On this night, you’ll be breaking into teams, and each team will get a pizza base and then it’s off to Highfields to go knocking on doors and asking for the toppings for your pizza. Certain toppings are worth certain points (eg. Chesse = 5, anchovies = 50). Then we’ll return to the Shannon Park Church hall, tally up the points, then cook and eat your creations!

For this term, we’ll be continuing our J-Zone studies on the book of James, with topics including the Power of Words, Who to Choose and Your Future Ahead (see the program for more about these).

Also in this term, we have two not-yet-decided Serving Soldiers missions and an also not-yet-decided extreme fun, plus the creme-de-la-creme for the guys – the seventh annual Halo/LAN night. Featuring many games for both PC and XBox, if you have the hardware and the games, you can bring it! More information about this night will be provided closer to the date, so stay alert!

Here’s term 4′s program, just in case your asking where it is:

Full colour (PDF, 606kb)

Black & white for the bandwidth challenged (PDF, 255kb)

Term 3′s ending, and you know what that means…

Yup… it’s Laser Skirmish time again. Come one, come all and blast your friends and foes!

This Friday (9/9) at Centenary Heights State High School (cnr. Ramsay and South st.) in Toowoomba, from 6:00 – 9:45PM.

Cost is $25 or $5 extra if you want to get camo overalls. Bring even more on top of that for drinks.

Bring your friends… and your parents etc. as well.

Program change this Friday

The Serving Soldiers event for this Friday (or Saturday) has been cancelled.

However this Friday (2/9), 7:00PM at the Shannon Park Church hall we are running a ‘special’ J-Zone for y’all. Bring along a question (or questions) you have on the Bible to ask us leaders. If we can’t answer your question, you get a prize!

Food and games will also be included, so bring a friend.

Serving Soldiers this Saturday…

Our first Serving Soldiers for term 3 is happening at the Church hall on Shannon Park Rd from 10:00AM – 12:00PM on Saturday 20 August.

There will be lots of cleaning and weed pulling involved, but it’s worth it as heaps of food (including some Eagle Boys Pizza) awaits at the end of it.

Ballistic is Back!

The Ballistic Conference is back for 2011. This Friday and Saturday (29 & 30 July) at Toowoomba City Church (10 Neil St. Toowoomba, on the corner of Neil and Thomas Streets).

Friday’s program (6:00 – 9:00PM) will feature two live bands, a free BBQ, dance groups, bucking bull, sno-cones and much more. Come on Saturday from 10:00AM – 3:00PM to check out one of the elective training sessions including worship, identity in Christ, victorious Christian living + extras.

Two days of fun, worship and good times in general – be there!
