Highfields Church is a growing group of people who actively care for others. Just like Jesus, our vision is to connect with people in our region and world.

Highfields Church is affiliated with Churches of Christ in Queensland (see Churches of Christ, Queensland). Highfields Church began on 10th February 2002.

We are focused on developing and providing programs which support strong, healthy families and community relationships. Our Church gatherings apply the Bible to life today.

Highfields Church is a group of about 160 people from all walks of life who live in this region. Our meeting place is currently at Geham State School, 9625 New England Highway in the picturesque village of Geham. This is 5kms north of our previous location of Shannon Park.

Every Sunday there are two Church services. One in the morning at 9:30 am, which is followed by morning tea. The afternoon service at 5 pm with supper afterwards. We enjoy our time together and welcome visitors.

Highfields Church is also a church for families with children. A special ‘Kid’s Church’ program for children aged 5 to 11 years and a ‘Teen Time’ program from ages 12 to 15 where they learn how to live well and love God. The Kid’s Church is run in a room at Geham School, while adults remain in the hall and are encouraged with an inspirational message. Contemporary music and creative expression plays an important role in our weekly worship services.

During the week at Shannon Park there are many programs including playgroup and Youth programs. A vital part of our ministry is ‘small groups’ where people meet in homes on week days or nights for friendship,  character-building, applying the Bible and care for those in need.
